There are several upcoming events we would like to invite members of the ThinkWell community to take part in. Two are ThinkWell-sponsored and the third is a conference being held by the ministry led by ThinkWell speaker and local apologist Sam Raju. We hope to see you at one or more of these! Details below.
Monthly Podcast Discussion Group - Launches 8/18
As previously announced, we’re beginning a podcast discussion group for adults (including ThinkWell alumni, parents, and others from the community) that officially launches Sunday, August 18. This group will listen to engaging apologetics/worldview-focused podcasts independently, and then come together to talk about them monthly. We're generally meeting the third Sunday of the month, 6 to 7:30 p.m., at CrossLife Community Church.
For our kick-off group meeting, we're listening to "Exvangelicals and the Deconstruction of Christianity" (featuring Alisa Childers and Tim Barnett on their new book). (Note: The meat of the interview starts just after the 9-minute mark; the Q&A that starts around the 47-minute mark is optional to listen to.)

Dealing with Doubt: An Evening with Paul Copan - 9/15
ThinkWell is holding a free evening event on Sunday, September 15, at 6:30 p.m., that will feature a two-part talk by Paul Copan, a renowned apologist, author, and professor. He will speak on the topic of "Dealing with Doubt," with specific focus on doubt in the context of the problem of suffering and evil in the world.
Dr. Copan is in town for the Engage International conference (detailed below); his talk topics at each will be different, so we encourage you to attend both the conference and this special event!

Engage Conference - 9/13 and 9/14
Engage International, an apologetics-geared ministry headquartered in Charlottesville and led by ThinkWell speaker Sam Raju, is hosting its biennial conference September 13-14, 2024, at First Baptist Church Park Street and warmly invites members of the ThinkWell community to attend. The event is free to attend and will feature well-known apologists Greg Koukl (author of Tactics), Paul Copan, and Craig Hazen in addition to Sam. The theme of the 2024 conference is "Enlightening Minds and Winning Hearts with the Gospel."
We highly recommend this event to anyone who wants to better equip themselves to stand for truth and winsomely communicate your faith in Jesus amidst a culture that scorns the sacred.
