After many months of planning, Think Well 2021 is just around the corner. The planning/leadership team cannot wait to welcome students on Sunday at our kick-off event!

  • In Person Attendees: All registered students and parents should have received an email on Wednesday, June 16, with important pre-conference details. Be SURE to read this email thoroughly! (If you didn’t receive it, let us know.)

  • Zoom Attendees: Those who signed up to attend online via Zoom will receive an email late this week (~Friday, June 18 at latest) containing all the info needed to connect to the conference starting on Sunday (as well as a link to download your PDF version of the Student Conference Notebook).

  • Late Registration: Missed the deadline to register? We have a few spots left and may be able to accommodate a late registration request. Contact us at info@thinkwellconference.org if you would like to still register to attend, either in person or online.

Sunday’s Kick-Off with Brett Kunkle

Registered students and parents should arrive for check-in starting at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, at CrossLife Community Church in Charlottesville (at the corner of Rio and Old Brook Roads, just east of Fashion Square Mall and 29). At 6:30 p.m., keynote speaker Brett Kunkle will kick off our conference with an opening address based on his book (coauthored with John Stonestreet) entitled A Practical Guide to Culture: Helping the Next Generation Navigate Today’s World. We expect a very full house, and may need to make use of overflow space in the building (with livestreaming on a screen), so arrive early if you want to be sure you get a seat in the main auditorium!

The Sunday kick-off will also be streamed live via CrossLife’s YouTube channel.

Schedule for the Week

We’ve posted the final schedule HERE on our website; it’s also available as a PDF download. Parents and students will receive hard copies at check-in.

Tuesday Night Event with Glenn Sunshine

We’re especially excited that Glenn Sunshine will keynote our second big evening event of the week (open to students, their families, AND the wider community) on Tuesday, June 22, starting at 7 p.m. Author of the award-winning book Why You Think the Way You Do, among other books, Glenn is a professor, writer, and scholar with a vast repertoire of history as it relates to Christianity and the Church. He has written extensively for the Colson Center for Christian Worldview (including a series on “Emerging Worldviews” and “Christians Who Changed Their World”). He will speak to students on both Wednesday and Thursday mornings as well, but his talk on Tuesday night promises to illuminate much about where the U.S. and Western Church is today and the types of challenges it faces in the future.

Official description of Tuesday’s talk: The worldview of medieval Europe was dominated by Christianity, yet in the centuries following the Reformation, that consensus was lost. In this talk, we’ll trace the shifts in worldview away from historic Christianity through the Enlightenment and scientism to the worldview ferment we see today.

We’ll also be treated to special music to start the night, led by Elizabeth Stewart. One of our Think Well speakers this year, Elizabeth is a worship leader, classically trained pianist, songwriter, and video producer.

Although the Tuesday event will have limited seating, it is open to the public, and we hope you will invite your friends, neighbors, and pastors to come. It will also be streamed live on CrossLife’s YouTube channel.
