Special 2021 Speaker: Glenn Sunshine
Editor’s Note (2/8/2021): Below is a blog originally published in 2020 before the postponement of the conference. Glenn Sunshine has agreed to speak at our 2021 conference, and the topics he will speak on are likely to be similar to those listed below.
We are thrilled to announce Glenn Sunshine, a worldview and history expert, as one of our main 2020 Think Well speakers! In addition to leading multiple sessions for students, Glenn will serve as our special evening session speaker on Tuesday, June 23. The evening session will be open to parents and the community and is tentatively titled "Where Are We and How Did We Get Here?" with focuses on the history of Christianity in the West (how we got here) and the challenges facing the church today.
Who Is Glenn Sunshine?
Glenn is a professor of history at Central Connecticut State University. An award-winning author, Glenn has published books, articles, and book chapters on history, theology, and culture, online and on both sides of the Atlantic, including:
Why You Think the Way You Do: The Story of Western Worldviews from Rome to Home (Zondervan, 2009), which received the 2006 Acton Institute Book Grant
The Kingdom Unleashed, coauthored with missiologist Jerry Trousdale.
Glenn is a regular columnist for The Worldview Journal, an online publication of the Colson Center for Christian Worldview. He has taught a variety of Bible, history, and worldview seminars and courses to churches around the United States, Europe, Asia, and Africa, plus leads church retreats, seminars, and renewal weekends.
Glenn is a core faculty member and Senior Fellow for the Colson Fellows Program, a worldview training ministry of Breakpoint and the Colson Center for Christian Worldview, and has been a content consultant for several worldview curricula, including Wide Angle and Walk the Talk. A Research Fellow of the Acton Institute, Glenn appears in the Acton documentary The Birth of Freedom. He is also featured on Doing the Right Thing, an ethics curriculum; in Labeled, a documentary on eugenics; and in Worldview and Why It Matters, a worldview curriculum with Chuck Colson.
Glenn is the founder of Every Square Inch Ministries: www.esquareinch.com. He and his wife Lynn will celebrate 40 years of marriage this August. They have two children and live in Newington, Connecticut.
